Tall, delicate, having a nice scent and colour, this is one of the most beautiful orchids to grow in Romania. It is not rare, nor frequent; however, in certain places appears in may-june in high numbers.
Loves wet meadows with rich soil and sunny positions.

The typical laxiflora subspecie does not grow in Romania.
We have here the elegans subspecie, known under the alternate scientific name as Orchis elegans.
This supspecie looks somewhat slender that the typical one, hence the name elegans.

Foarte frumoasa orhidea ta!
De curiozitate, de unde anume e poza?
Oricum, imaginea e foarte misto, cu culori vii, detalii foarte bune si un BG de invidiat :)

I love the way the orchid stands out from the BG. I think it has to do with the use of the flash and the DOF. Colors look nice and rich.
