Well I said I would post the Romanian version of an arable crop. Although you can,t see, the arable wildflowers are vast within the crops as are the insect life. There is also a mix of hay meadows which are rotated in places between crops and hay.
So for those who seem to think that the last photo had nothing to do with nature I think you are very mistaken and anyway it was put under sky AND theres loads of farming photos with nothing by arable cropping and yes I'm having a moan about those who seem not to read the notes |

Hi Simon
I understand what you are trying to say/suggest.
Indeed, i know what you are talking about. As a biologist, i've seen many such places in my country and, although i don't aprove with some of them, it's probably better for wildlife like this than in some parts of the Western Europe.
I can't speak here for all sorts of animals, but i can give you a good example: Yellow-belied toads are very common in Romania and quite rare in western Europe (for a nice idea, see Jacob's (bufo) last post and, even better, the Workshop), but i'm pretty sure there is similar impact at any level.
I'm not going to comment the shot itself, since the subject is cultivated, but i thought i would write something so you'd know that your oppinion is noted :)
Kind regards and Happy Holidays
Horia
