Hi Birta,
Your gull is sharp with that fast shutter, but I think you need to look at improving this shot by way of reducing the space around him. This could be done via a crop (which would reduce the quality as you're reducing the number of pixels) or you need to use a longer lens (better quality end result but much more expensive!).
I'm not sure the BG (background) is conducive to an aesthetic photo, perhaps waiting till he had less distractions behind him. Also your POV (point of view) is a little too angled leading to darkness on the undercarriage of the bird. With the light you had it may have been better to wait till the light caught him in a more suitable way.
Anyway I hope I haven't made you loathe me with all I've written! I'm just trying to give you some pointers to improve. I can see that 135mm might be your main limitation in bird photography with the focal range not being entirely suitable for the task. Perhaps a teleconverter might be a cheaper option?
So....welcome to TrekNature! I hope you enjoy it and learn from all the amazing people on here.
Regards
Simon
Hi Birta,
Welcome to TrekNature!
Very nice catch. The composition is weak, due to the bacground. But it is well exposed.

Shahar.
