Even if it was not a volcanic crater it is really an amazing and beautiful place! Knowing that it is a crater adds even more interest and curiosity.
The shot is excellent with a wonderful sharpness and composition.

No i to jest bardzo ladnie zakomponowane zdjecie - ze sztafazem, srednim i dalekim planem . Ladne popoludniowe swiatlo. Jedyne co psuje troche efekt to postacie ludzkie, w dodatku lekko przeswietlone - placza sie nie wiadomo po co :-) Ale to jak wiesz moj schiz... :-)
A tak przy okazji - swietna notka!!!

Estética captura estimado amigo con excelente punto de vista, ubicando la gran roca en primer plano y un correcto encuadre con el bosque reflejado sobre el agua, el imponente cielo azul como el mejor trasfondo posible.

BRAVO. Hold choice of POV and pictured scene. Amazing lighting and richness of colours. Great details of all subjects and reflections at the water. Nice line of tree tops and lakeside. Very impressive old stump. Very nice note but I don't agree with its first part. My compliments and TFS.

Nice shot Radomir,

Beautiful warm colours and great composition. Really clear image with detail from the rock at the front to the trees in the background. Effective frame (I liked it so much I have decided to copy it and start using similar on my photos!)
Not sure the people in the background are quite fitting in the scene.

C'est une très belle composition que tu as faites sur ce beau paysage. Les couleurs et les détails sont réussis. J'aime bien l'atmosphère qui s'en dégage.C'est au pied de ces rochers que les personnes devraient pêcher.

Hi!

very beautiful photo! I was there while I was student and the professors from the University were telling us about the vegetation changes due to termic inversions. And in this picture is visible that the spruce is on lower level while the beech is on the highest one (is the first thing that gets in my mind when hear about St.Ana lake)...and i must confess i didn't know the story :(

Bardzo fajne zdjęcie. Podoba mi się spokój miejsca.
Kolory, ostrość i kompozycja też są świetne.
Nawet tak bardzo nie przeszkadzają ci ludzie coś tam kręcą - ale w takich miejscach zwykle trudno coś z nimi zrobić ;)
Notka też ciekawa.
No a poza tym jezioro ma taką fajną patronkę ;>

Hello Radomir,

Would you believe I have never been at Sfanta Ana lake although I live relatively close? Your picture makes me think about planning a trip to this beautiful place.
I like your composition and the way you used different objects to enhance perspective. This foreground-middleground -background arrangement is very efficient! I wonder where did you focus? On the rock in the foreground? The distant shore is very well placed and the high horizon line is excellent for presenting what's below (the lake).
The colors are natural and well saturated and now I realize how much I miss the summer (although I'm a winter sports lover). The excellent exposure and light control rendered a superb landscape with great contrast and beautiful color tones. Very appropriate frame and useful notes! Congratulations and TFS!

Another beautiful part of my country that i am yet to see!
You (ad Michal) really managed to bring out the best of what is to be found here!
Sf. Ana is indeed a unique place in Romania and i defiantely want to go there one day. Until then, i'm left with this beautiful picture of yours ;)
The composition here is splendid and the view outstanding. You did great to keep interest to both the FG and the BG, with lovely and well saturated tones and colors everywhere.
Very nice details throughout the entire frame, as well.

Hi again Radomir,

Here's a good example of a strong FG. This rock creates a good dimension to the landscape. Watch out for unknown shadow in the picture (as seen on the lower-left). Too bad for the people also (sorry, I am a purist when nature photo is concerned). Good warm tones and DOF.

Hi Radomir,

Yes it's really like a postcard, excellent shot with crystal clear water in the foreground. The view is so breathtaking and relaxing, the stone in the foreground corner make the bracketing perfect. It's look like petrified/sillicified woods for me, support the idea of volcanic crater origin. Thanks for the notes and the legend about St. Ann, hope I could step my foot there someday :)
