| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Although many people use the word "pine" for any evergreen, true pines bear their needles in bundles called fascicles, not individually along the stem. Depending on the species, the bundle has two, three, or five needles. Two-needle types are more adaptable than three-needle, and three-needle more than five-needle. Some pines, such as dwarf mugo (P. mugo), have a rounded shape. Many are upright and pyramidal. Some have beautiful bark, such as Scots pine (P. sylvestris).
Picturesque pine (Pinus silvestris) has an open habit and grows to 30 to 60 feet high and 30 to 40 feet wide. Its twisted evergreen needles are 1 to 4 inches long, yellow-green or blue-green, and borne in bundles of two. |

Nice composition, good POV and details. IMO framed too centered.
Well done.
TFS.
