| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| A large and attractive beetle that can reach a length of 17 mm (approx. 2/3 in). Its clearly flattened elytra are shiny, bronzy-reen and flecked with white lines and marks. It moves in a cumbersome manner among vegetation and is often found on flowers, including roses, hence its English name. It is a very common insect, usually active in sunny weather. It appears between May and September. Larva lives in rotting wood. |

A reasonably clear macro, but a shame about the POV.
It looks like quite a pretty beetle. It would have been nice to see the upper side.
