This week is all about thunder storms.
Global warming, unusually mild winter without snow, very hot spring and lack of rain, but daily thunderstorms and hail.
I was caught twice already in the open during this raging hail storms, and I'm already starting to think that they follow me around.
The two of us decided to go for a walk on our usual river bank.The sun was setting and everything was clear and peaceful, after a while we looked up and saw this cloud coming from behind us,above the green fields of wheat.
Wind struck us hard in a moment and left us breathless, we realized that car was 500m away and there's no time to get to it.We began to run.It swept across the plain like over the raging green sea while sky was whirling and thundering, soon the raindrops curtain hit the ground and I was just leaning over my backpack to keep the camera dry and safe, then came the hail, like those kitchen ice cubes it hit my back while I was laughing and running.Eventually we got to the car totaly wet and rushed home.
5km further the sky was still clear but it was black behind us.
Today's another thunder storm, and yesterday I filmed the thunder hitting my neighbours yard 20m away from me.Meteorologists promised us whole week of this natures rage.
Well one for sure, no walks for me in the open this week. |

Hi Tanja,
I like your note with this photo. It tells the experience of what you saw perfectly. It looks like you took this photo while driving in your car. Otherwise I can't explain the blurry FG. The texture in the clouds and the lighting is very ominous. The contrast of the fresh green colors and the dark grey sky is wonderful.

I am very sad. I have read your upgraded Intro. It I a very sad news but I hope, that will find forces and successfully will overcome these adversities. My heart wishes to you and your family.
Your shot is very impressive and reflects this nature phenomenon excellently. Only one point is not very good. This is some softness of the field image. Once more. my best wishes and see you soon.
