Frozen snow can have various shapes.These icy flakes, which I found one morning on the meadow,were caused by a strong night frost (-20 degrees centigrate).
Their lenght was two centimetres and they cracked under my foot.

Hi Viera! Wonderful shot!! in Italian it's called "brina di superficie", but this winter is not so common, because of the high temperatures...
The light is perfect!
