[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is not the Lacerta agilis (btw, thank you Dieter (meyerd here in TN) for providing me the Latin name) that I posted previously - but this one she was shy as well...I guess all Lacertas do not want to be photographed! :-D

I was chasing this one until she hid in mole-(or maybe mouse)-hole in our garden, where she waited for safety. And I waited for her to show. I knelt there for about 10 minutes with camera focused and ready to snap a photo, praying for the batteries would not die and for I would get the photo without blur (the exposition time was quite long and I had no tripod). And then she showed a bit of her bashfully. And then...youŽll see on the next post... :-)

I could not go to higher f numbers, because IŽd get times that I would not be able to hold at all. And I was not able to use flash as well, because I was just few millimeters from the hole and the flash would blow away everything.

Hi Adrian,
The out of focus areas creating a window effect. Would have been impressive if the top portion of the image could have had the same effect. This "window" or peep hole leads the eye into the sharp clearly defined subject. Well done, nice pic.
Cheers,
Erwin
