Hi,
Excellent panorama!
I've always liked such patchy light over the mountains. It really gives special atmosphere to landscapes. Very nice cold winter colours too!
Best greetings,

Wow! What a great mountains! Wonderful wintery scene on the summits. Going to top of the summit, i don't know about your mountaineer adventures before! Widening pov and framing! Love that cloudy sky and mountains! You had a tiring and freezy day Horia! But i think that you should forget all of your effort on the top and enjoyed the moment.

Hello Horia,
I emphatize with your bad luck with weather. When light is no good, you have to be extra careful with the composition and try to be creative in other ways. Here you have overcome the adversity very well. Excellent panoramic mountainscape from the Tatras, with good contrast. Masterful!

Hello Horia,
Attractive mountain scenery!
Good details in the rugged peaks, rough weather and that is how it should be in the high mountains by winter...
Well framed and good details, well done on post prosessing!

Hi Horia
Wonderful shot, it is always inspiring when you can get to the top of a mountain and look across a mountain range. I am never happier than when I can get up high. This is an amazing shot. The whole range looks amazing covered in show and with the interesting shapes of the peaks. This is really stunning. The panoramic version is magnificent

Nice shot, Horia. Good presentation.
Your circular polarizer probably adjusted the saturation a bit which is good.
Interesting note as well.

This is a wonderful composite. Nice work. I'm glad I clicked on it to see the larger version. It is quite dramatic. Looks like exposure, sharpness and depth of field are great. Colors look natural too. I do see something here that is curious. If one were to follow the line of the clouds just above the mountains there appears to be a curve. Clouds don't normally do that. I don't know what would cause that, and I don't know how to fix it. Since This is a composite, I doubt it is barrel distortion.
I'm glad you enjoyed your trip in spite of the weather. It is always "iffY" this time of year. We have been planning a trip to Death Valley California next week. Weather is fine there but between here and there the weather is terrible... if there is too much snow we can't go.

Hi Horia,
way before I started getting interested in flora and fauna I strolled around Europe to hike and climb every elevation I could find. I'm not sure whether I went to the same mountain as you did (I did go to some high peaks in the Slovakian and Polish Tatra), I like your post really well. Snow, mountains and great view are a good combination. You captured it really well. More, more & more posts like this one are more than welcome.

Hi Horia,
Great pano of an amazing view...talk about being in the clouds. Great exposure and colour balance across the images. I can see a couple of joins in the clouds. A bit of masking or cloning in PS would easliy dispatch this.Good composition.
Cheers

Hello Horia!
This is an awesome picture! Great job on your first landscape post. Your capture is incredible! I can almost feel the cold winds blowing in between the mountains. Great composition and excelent work on the stitch. Great detail and accurate colors. TFS!
Congratulations Horia on your first large landscape, it's simply stunning!
A tremendous effort must have been exerted tog et up that high! It has paid off though and we are presented with a truly magnificent sight. It is untouched by man a sight not really appreciated much today and shows just what the world is made of.
The light is fantastic and causes interesting shadows. Well exposed and composed giving us a true representation of what it was like.
How did the camera manage at that sort of height/temperature?
The stitching job is good and I can only spot it to the right of the main peak in the clouds.
Excellent job Horia, my newest favourite.
Regards,
Simon

Hi Horia,
Woow, beautiful view. Looks like quite a trip and you're obviously high at this viewpoint. There is such a sense of purity in places like this I think, it's quite breathtaking when you're actually there. It's a wonderful shot, superb exposure with the high contrasts, nice shadow detail. Great detail in the LP, a lot to look at. Very atmospheric with the clouds as well.
I might have tried a ND Grad filter to bring some detail into the sky and darken it a little but to be honest I've never tried using a grad filter with images intended for a stitch.
Who needs a 39MP $25000 Hasselblad when we have AutoStitch?? :-)
Best regards,
Adrian
