Typha (Cattail)
On the same place I took water lillys , now it full of Cattail.
Cattails are among the most common of all aquatic plants. They can reach eight or more feet tall and grow prolifically from thick underground rhizomes. Cattails often dominate large areas, especially where water levels fluctuate.

Cattails get their name from their cylindrical flower spikes which can be more than one foot long. The flower spikes are densely packed with tiny flowers. Cattail leaves are straplike and stiff, and rounded on the back. The leaves are sheathed together at their bases. Therefore, cattail plants appear to be flattened from the side. Leaves are straight in the bottom half, but twist and spiral in the top half.

Hi Marjan
A nice capture of this cattail plants and seed. Once more a compact camera amazes me with the kind of DOF one can attain with such a large aperture as f/2.8.
The composition is effective in its simplicity, the colours are natural, the details are good, the green leaves of the multitude of cattail plants forms a nice BG which compliments the seed, and the exposure was fine.
Good work and TFS.
Regards
Loot
