PS. Taken at Ljubljana Zoo. They keep reptiles behind glass in a pretty dark lit environment.
Therefore I had to use flash together with a polariser.

Great picture of the snake, Robert. It would be good if you could write a decent note though. If you tell us where and what environment you saw this snake in it would help someone to ID this.

Bonita captura Robert, con finos detalles sobre las escamas del reptil y un colorido magnifico.

It is a nice snake, maybe a bit too postprocessed, but beautiful.

I love snakes and find this photo to be engaging and interesting. Having a snake wrapped around itself works well, and the depth of field is also effective. I know many snakes, but without knowing where this snake normally resides, it's difficult to make an identification.

Nice one Robert. The frame is natural and unique. Focus and details sharp in the centre. Nice catch.

Beautiful shot. Very well composed.

The snake is a Yellow Ratsnake (Pantherophis obsoletus quadrivittata). It used to be in the genus Elaphe. They are native to the southeastern United States.
