Description:
It is a bird of voluminous body and of very showy appearance. The plumage is dyeing of shaded tonalities but that award to the animal a great elegance. The majority of the births take place after the station of rains. The nest is a depression of the area draped with herbs and I conceal between the vegetation. The putting consists of 13, 15 eggs that are deposited in the successive days. The incubation lasts from 23 to 25 days.

His robust legs allow her to cover long distances and to scratch the soil in search of the components of his diet. His flight turns out to be heavy and is in the habit of being of short duration. It is a gregarious enough species, for what it is accustomed to form groups more or less numerous.

Not threatened species, the number of individuals is calculated they exceed the million. Of common to abundant in many zones.
