RED-LORED PARROT OR YELLOW CHEEKED PARROT
The Red-lored Parrot is a native of the Americas. His distribution spreads from Mexico up to Venezuela and Ecuador.
He lives in the tropical jungles, jungles of gallery and secondary vegetation. One documents him from the level of the sea up to 1100 meters of elevation.
The usual nestful counts from three to four eggs. The incubation takes from 25 to 26 days. The pigeons go away of the nest to 70 days.
Of length it achieves from 34 to 35 cm. The basic color of the plumage is green. The forehead is red. The wreath is blue, coming this color in major or minor intensity up to the nape. The face under the eyes and the cheeks they demonstrate the yellow color, depending in the individual the quantity of this color in this part. The low jaw is a color bone with more or less grey of agreement to the individual, the top jaw is a color bone.
