In this 'Calla' there was an insect walking. I wanted to do a photo to him. And I just in the moment to shoot, it flew, and this photo stayed. I think the structure of the spadix it is detailed and because of it I put it.

(Zantedeschia aethiopica)
DESCRIPTION:
Flower is a solitary, showy, funnel shaped unfurling spathe. Spathe is 6" - 9" and tapers to a point. Spadix rises from the center of the spathe.

HOME CULTURE NOTES:
Popular house plant and hobby greenhouse plant which needs rest period in summer if grown indoors. Hardy to Zone 8.
PROPOGATION:
Rhizome division
CARE:
Before arranging, recut stems, remove foliage that will be under water & put in mix of warm water & floral preservative for a few hours or overnight. Place arrangement away from direct sunlight, heat vents, air conditioners and drafts. Water and remove dying blooms and foliage daily. To prolong vase life, every 4 - 5 days, recut stems & clean container thoroughly. Rearrange remaining flowers, adding mixture of warm water & floral preservative to your "new" arrangement. Floral preservative is recommended and is available commercially.
