To the late afternoon I saw in a wall this típula. Handheld, rested on the wall.
Common name of a type of flies belonging to the family Tipulidae, of the order Diptera and suborder Nematóceros, of great size, with the thin body and with the very long and fragile legs.
The wings are narrow, of dun or greyish color, slightly showy, and of approximately 3 important cm. They are characterized by the suture in the shape of V of the thorax, by the absence of ocelos and because they cannot sting. The female presents an oviscapto in the abdomen for the putting of the eggs, which takes place on the soil or on other materials. The larvas never live in the mud, on plants or on matter in decomposition, but almost in the water. It is typical also that form numerous swarms of matching at the end of summer. The biggest species are in the habit of settling with the widespread wings, whereas the smallest do it with the wings folded on the body. The típulas are typical of the meadows and of humid environments.
