ROSE OF SMALL STONE
( Hibiscus rosa - sinensis)
What more calls the attention of this plant they are his flowers, seem of paper and though they last a few days, go out constant.
It is a very nice plant, easy to take care, of everlasting leaf and grows rapidly.
It suits to continue following taken care:
Soils: That drain well.
Irrigations: That the land is always humid.
Lighting: During the whole year it must receive several hours of the direct Sun every day, though in summer in the central hours of the day it must be to the shade.
Temperatures: Between 13ºC and 21ºC the whole year. If the thermometer goes down of 13ºC to put it in house, if the temperature is on the 5 ºC the plant will lose the leaves and the stems will dry off, it will seem to be dead but in the following spring it will appear again, if it goes down still more, the plant will die.
Dampness: If it rises of 21ºC to pulverize it with water (the flowers not).
Credits: At the beginning of spring, to prune what does not please. If it is in a pot he can be a necessary transplant it, if it was not like that, to start paying with liquid fertilizer for plants of flower following the instructions that the manufacturer should mark.
Flowering: It Blooms from summer middle until autumns middle.
Species and Varieties:
Inside the genre Hibiscus fundamentally there are two, Rose of China, described previously and Marshmallow also called Rose of Syria (Hibiscus syriacus), the latter is very similar to the first one, but of expired leaf. |
