Orchis papilionacea L. var. grandiflora Boiss.
The butterfly orchid is, probably, the showiest species of the genre Orchis, this variety of bigger flowers him considerate subspecies for some authors and is of Iberian and Balearic distribution. The species in sensu lato is from Mediterranean distribution. In the picture can be observed the insect that transports the pollen of flower to flower. In the Workshop picture you can see other vision of the plant.
