| Folowing a day of thunderstorms and torrential rain, I spotted this bird resting in a garden of a seafront resturant, It was difficult to get close or a clear shot, manged two shots before it flew away. I suspect that it was resting after the storms, midway through it's migration from Africa. I have heard them it the past but had never seen one. They are birds of heathland and woodland clearings. It's song is like the sound of a distant motorbike. I appologise for the cutting off of the tail. Thanks for viewing |
