1. Volutaria muricata (L.) Maire
= Amberboa muricata (L.) DC.
= Cyanopsis muricata (L.) Dostal
Th.e. 30–70 cm. Anual, lanuginosa, algo escabrida. Tallos erectos, ramificados.
Hojas alternas, las medias pinnatisectas, con segmentos enteros
o dentados, el terminal mas grande. Capitulos terminales, solitarios,
largamente pedunculados; involucro (15)17–22 x (8)10–15 mm,
ovoideo, viloso, con varias filas de bracteas de margen negruzco, las
medias con espina apical de 3–7 mm, pajiza, poco vulnerante; receptaculo
peloso. Flores flosculosas, purpureas–rosadas, las externas neutras,
radiadas, las internas hermafroditas. Aquenios 3–4 mm, oblongoideos,
costillados, glabros, con coronula apical denticulada; vilano c. 2,5 mm,
de varias filas de escamas lineares, denticuladas. 2n = 24. III–VI.
Ruderal y viaria, 0–600 m (t). Ibero–magrebi. Trevenque–Almijara, Axarquia.

Hello Ferran,
Beautiful photo of this flower in great sharpness and clear colours. The contrast against the BG is splendid. Maybe the composition is a bit too central.
