From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Clematis vitalba (also known as Old man's beard and Traveller's Joy) is a shrub of the Ranunculaceae family.
Clematis vitalba is a climbing shrub with branched stems, deciduous leaves, and scented greeny-white flowers with fluffy underlying sepals. The fruits have an overlying silky appendage lengthwise on the plant.
The flowers of this species are eaten by the larvae of moths including The V-Pug and Double-striped Pug and the leaves by Willow Beauty.

Hi Julian,
This is a very simple and charming presentation. The colors and details are great. You have a nice blurred BG, due to the f4. Actually, you might have decreased the opening to f8 or f10, so that you could get the leaf that is in front in focus. It's not a very pretty leaf, but, given that it is in the shot, I would have tried to get it in focus as well. Very nice image. TFS

Hi Julian!
I like this simple, yet very pleasant picture very much. It's delicate and fine, presented in a good composition with the focus on the right place. I also like the colours very much and appreciate the interesting notes.
Kind regards
Markus
Hola Julian.

Hello Julian,
nice composition with the silky hairy structures of fruits standing out in the backlight from a well supporting desaturated blue background. The picture is well describing the plant species and pleasant to look at. Thank you!
With best regards,
Peter
