El Cauquén Real es muy parecido a la hembra del Cauquén Común, aunque se diferencia de ésta en la coloración de su plumaje, como podréis ver si comparáis las imágenes de ambos. El color de su cabeza y cuello hace que también se conozca como cauquén cabeza gris.
No suele frecuentar el agua pero seguramente te deleitarán con su andar prudente y observador.

A very unusual bird,which I have never seen before.
Your photo is clear and well composed,although possibly a little on the blue side.
