NOTE: THERE IS A WORKSHOP with bottom view.

If you look carefully in shady and wet places mushrooms can be found even in the middle of the summer. This one was growing into the substrate rich in rotten pieces of wood in a river side.

Clitocybe cyathiformis
Cap 2–7cm across, funnel-shaped with a strongly inrolled margin, dark grey-brown to umber drying paler. Stem 40–80×5–10mm, paler than the cap with a silky white fibrous covering, swollen towards the downy base. Flesh thin, pallid. Taste mild, smell mushroomy. Gills more or less decurrent, pale grey becoming brownish with age. Spore print white. Spores ovoid, amyloid, 8–11 x 5–6µ. Habitat amongst grass, leaf litter, on very rotten logs or other debris in mixed woodland. Season late autumn to winter. Occasional. Inedible.
Distribution, America and Europe.

You can see the bottom of a bigger one in the WORKSHOP PHOTO, so I will be glad to receive any other ident suggestions.

Hope you like!

NO POSTPROCESS exept crop & USM.
F:8 - 1/3 - Minitripod - Manual mode.

Hi Felipe,
Excellent shot with great detail. I also like the workshop with the bottom view showing the gills and texture. Very Nice!

Good details, well composed and colours.

Hi Felipe, what a good macro, it looks quite artistic, I think, as it grows out of the busy bush floor. I like the white colour and texture of the foot of the mushroom. The workshop showing the gills is just as good - you could have posted both. Good jobs, both of them...
I haven't seen you lately, so it is good to see you again.

Felipe, no doubt this is really nice.

Excellent sharpness, pov and composition.

The settings are perfect, so that, as a consequence, exposure is perfect too.

Very nice shades, very nice mood.

Congratulations.

Ola Felipe!
I don't know how you manage to get always such a good light to show your fungi. Might be the local environment. This one is again a very pure image, with a very well balanced light on the subject. From the brightest part to the darkest, all shades are present. I reckon your camera is particularly well adpted for this (I still use mine a lot). Very good composition with stones around. Well done my friend.

Wonderful light that really brings out the contrasting textures. Looks really appetizing! Excellent use of DOF to isolate the mushroom from the BG, but show the contrasting texture of the stones immediately around it.
Regards,
Gabi
