I wonder why the US never switched to the metric system? Long time ago it was said we would. I am very poor at converting but it sounds close...and obviously close enough to get s sharp image. The head colours of this look like a mallard male, but the bill and feathers tell a different tale. Quite the unusual bill eh? Nice noted as to how it was taken..not to go and find me a converter to metrics online!

Hi Ivan. One i have yet to see in the wild. As you say he has the right shape bill for the job. You have captured a good sharp immage with fine detail in the feathers. The eye stands out from the green feathers of the head. well done tFs. Interesting note too,

This duck looks a little bit like a mallard because of its green feathers on the head. Great shot, beautiful light and very sharp. I like the little droplet of water and the beautiful colours in the plumage of the bird. Thank you Ivan, superb as usual,
