[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a big monolithe in the center of the Island: It is 1.460m high. His big brother the Roque Nublo is
1.817m and olso on this picture, but as his name indicates, he is in the clouds on top of the montain range behind. The photo was taken when the sun was low. I cut of the lower part of the image because of some electric cables were spoiling the scenery. There is much diversity in the landscapes of Gran Canaria.
The only problem is that going for a walk here turns out to be quite exhausting.

Hi Karin,

I see you're quite new around here. You have some great pictures. (And I hope you have many others).

Lovely scenery, great play of shadows and light, also nice work on the BG - FG plans.

It worth more than the smileys you got so far. Anyway I'll give you mine with all of my heart!
You say KVR! Isn't it strange (and funny, in a pleasant way) how som connections are made? (Thru a friend of a friend on the net, or so many other web-ways). But all in a good way. How else you should know about my Arizona landscapes, or I'd be aware about the beauty of Canarias? (Makes me think seriously about doing a musical-photographic trip over there, as soon as I got the necessary funds).

Cheers, Petru

Hi Karin, this is a wonderful landscape - monolithe-scape!! The lighting and colours are quite amazing. Very eye-catching. Stunning land formations. But too hilly and rough for me!

Hi Karin,
It might be exhausting but it looks to be worth it. A beautiful view, fantastic scenery. A nice shot, the differences in tones adds great depth and the light is excellent. Great ntural colours and not often that a clear sky works but it works here very well. Great work!
Regards,
Adrian

BTW, did you consider cloning the cables out with software rather than cut the bottom of the picture?
