That black horizontal stripe across the face of this Shrike is its beauty mark, Vicma.
The eye within this stripe demarcates itself well with a catchlight in it.

Superb well focussed fine image of the shrike here Vicma..The bird facing the evening setting sun looks as if washed by the luminous effect and is well highlighted by the evening sun. The muted dark BG makes a fine addition to the composition.

The bird itself looks so impressive...and is caught with fine PoV, colours and contrast.I like the centralised placement of the subject and the mud perch on which it is resting.

A bird is a little to small as for me, according to the entire picture, but it is really nice presented, with good DOF and natural contrast. I like also colours of the photo. The only small correction is to the Latin name - the first part (genus name) should be written in capital letter (Lanius not lanius) :>
