[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today’s post is from our vacation on Tenerife.
When we was going back from the Park when we had shooting the Blue Chaffinch, se my last post,
Viktor took the wrong way from the park; he wanted to show me something.
We saw the most beautiful sunset we ever seen. This is the west side of Teide, (Spain’s highest mountain and it’s also an active volcano but sleeping), when the last sunbeams hit the side of the
Mountain its looks like a stream gold or like a lava stream, it was just beautiful; these phenomena only last for a couple of minutes. It’s impossible to show the beauty scene in the small picture but the sight was great.
It’s taken with my wife’s small Canon 720is it was no time to get the big camera from the trunk.
I hope you like it.

PLS
No points for this, I have given them up like some others. I have turn of the points, so save your green ones.

Canon 720IS, ISO200. pattern metering.

JAG veta Teide well.this är en märklig phenomenon , toppen ta till fånga och en mycket trevlig upplysande märka. TFS

Your thumbnail image gave the impression as if you had taken the picture of a forest fire in Spain, Gert.
What a wonderful surprise when it turned out to be a view of the mountains bathed in the glow of the setting sun!
Thanks for sharing this amazingly beautiful landscape and best regards.

Hi Gert

Excellent shot - great pose and good detail and really outstanding colour and light.

Ciao Gert,
conosco bene questo interessante fenomeno di luce.
Qualcosa di molto simile l'ho osservata sul Monte Etna, in Sicilia.
Hai ragione, è uno spettacolo breve ma unico e fantastico.
Grazie per questa foto,
Marcello

Hi Gert,

Hi Gert

This is indeed a magnificent sunset setting!
I'm sure few photos would do justice to a place such as this one and especially in such unique condition!
The volcano here looks amazing - really like a golden set of streams coming down toward you from that "cloud" on top...just like a gift from the Gods :)
The FG is also very nicely presented and detailed, with different interesting textures and colors that complement the upper part of the picture.
Even if this is a superb shot, i still would have loved to have seen one shot with the big camera...and i think you would have loved to have had a bigger photo of such a place so that you can print it better :)
Anyway, it's still a fantastic photo!

BRAVO and TFS

Hi Gert.
Something different but also perfect. I see and I know it is possible to get wonderful shot with any camera if it is in skill hands.

Excellent impressive landscape picture of very cute place. I like wonderful combination of light, shadows and nice warm evening colours. Covered by haze hills are looked amazingly too as well as perfectly sharpened FG and dry vegetation. Bravo and my best wishes.
Alexei.

Hej Gert,
What a fantastic view of this light pnenomenon, I could have sworn they were lava stream before I looked closer. I still can't quite make it out but it looks fantastic. I recognise the environment very well and this must be an unforgettable sight!
Many thanks and cheers, Ulla

Hi Gert,

It looks like the mountain is on fire!! A very effective picture with the different layers - flowers and bushes, the sunsets effect on the mountain, and then the thick clouds. Very well captured.

That hillside looks like it is on fire - or that the volcano is in action with the red hot lava escaping down the mountain.
Absolutely brillianr Gert.
