Hello Ivan,
This is one of the most beautiful White butterflies. You show it in an ideal way, that we can see the inside and the outside of the wings. This species occurs also in Valais, but this summer I didn't see any and really hope that next summer it will reappear..

Hi Ivan,

A beautiful picture, beautiful flower and beautiful butterfly! I am sure I have not seen a Bath White before. You captured it in a wonderful position to show off the pretty wings. The markings are lovely in fine colors and details. The background is superb blending with the colors of the butterfly. Must have been a great trip for photography.

Some Pierids interesting and they occurs in winter period, even in snow. I saw several pierids in this week and this place under snow. Yours is similar and it is active in mid-November. I played with this and see the problem...but it is the camera not you. You set it up right...almost perfectly....but there is a problem with the sensor and the white/green combo and low light....HARD shot to take. I could not improve on it at all...You did as best as anyone could do and your post is the best...No workshop from me on this. You continue to be the leader and teacher!

I have a feeling I have seen this butterfly for the first time, Ivan.
It is a beautiful picture you took in Spain. The POV could not be better from which both sides of the wings of this White are visible. It is a pretty butterfly sitting on an equally attractive flower.

Hello Ivan,

I like the POV you have chosen showing both under and upper side of the wings. The surace of the wings is well shown, fine vines and scales being visible. The insect is shown in very nice color tones blending fine in the background.
