It's so nice to see a post from you! A beautiful capture of this Trumpeter Finch. He is in my favorite pose on a rooftop against the very deep blue sky. Super sharp details of his beak, eye, face, plummage and wings. Nice natural colors - completely unlike the finches we have here. Of course I love the composition.

Pues yo es la primera vez que lo veo Víctor. Desde lugo tenéis una gran riqueza animal en esas Islas y siempre me sorprende su belleza; pasa lo mismo con muchas plantas.
En el plano técnico, como siempre, un buen conjunto, aunque en lo que respecta al enfoque a la cabeza, queda un pelín justa. Por criticar algo ya que yo soy incapaz de hacer una foto así.

I browsed through your gallery and see you have posted quite a number of bird images, the one prettier than the other. This The Trumpeter Finch is no exception. This is a super shot, with fantastic sharpness and display of colour. The overall presentation is flawless, and spot on focus. I really like the rosy-red coloured beak, as well as the same colour hidden in the tail feathers. It displays well. Thanks for sharing.

I'm sorry that I missed so many of your last posts. This is a beautiful specie which looks a lot like our female Northern Red Cardinal without the crest! Its colors are amazing and what to say about this deep blue Spanish sky; beautiful!
