Hola Felipe Mateo and Cristina,
you show a brilliant, well-focused and sharp picture of
- Brenthis daphne
- Nymphalidae
The species differs from niobe and adippe not only by the dot pattern but also by the wing shape which is more rounded in daphne.
The wing underside pattern of daphne, if you have a picture, is quite different from niobe.
Thank you for posting this excellent presentation of B. daphne.

eye catching image from the thumbnail that keeps all its promises when seen full size. Simple and clear composition, perfect point of view for identification, fine details, very well reported surface properties. Very nice to see the shining leaves in contrast to the velvet surface of wings.
Perfectly well describing brief notes. Excellent presentation of a fresh specimen of Laurel, the Marbled Fritillary, on its feeding plant.

It is a spectacular butterfly which you have shot very well, Felipe.

Another post without fungus? Is everything OK my friends ;-) ? Very good macro of butterfly. These ones are really hard to ID, even with good atlas. Anyway, I like details on wings, photo is very sharp and with good colours. Flash harmed leaves a little but insect looks excellent.

Marcados detalles a partir de una gran iluminación sobre la mariposa con buen foco y nitidez que brindan detalles del insecto.
El contraste con las hojas y el fondo oscuro realza aun más la belleza de este ejemplar con algunos reflejos indeseables sobre las hojas, pero que imposibles de evitar.

Excelente captura, muy nítida y con un buen encuadre. El colorido es perfecto y hace que el precioso color naranja de la daphne destaque vívidamente sobre el verde oscuro de las hojas de zarza.

Another splendid macro from you and your precious Sony ;)
The butterfly looks great here and you managed to capture it with its wings wide opened and showing off all it bealutiful colors and patterns.
The sharpness is impeccable, as always, and the details and textures are gorgeous.
I also like the DOF with keeps the whole butterfly in perfect focus and blurres a bit the rest, just to give it that extra something it needs to isolate the subject.
The flash work is great and the composition is wonerful.
