Winter savory (Satureja montana) is a perennial herb in the family Lamiaceae, native to warm temperate regions of southern Europe.
It is a semi-evergreen, semi-woody subshrub growing to over 230 cm (7.5 ft) tall. The leaves are opposite, oval-lanceolate, 1-2 cm long and 5 mm broad. The flowers are white.

-----------------------

Today I went for a walk in a Pinus forest in a mountain (600 m over sea). The clears of the forest where there is no tree are occupied for small shrubs (Timus vulgaris or Satureia montana). Satureia montana is called “sajolida” in catalan and it’s used to flavor the olives. It’s one of the lasts plants to lose their flowers in the autumn, and all the insects, butterflies included, take advantage of it to absorb their nectar. It was a wonderful day with a shiny sun and a very pleasant temperatures. But the winter is coming.

This photo is taken in Gurb, near Vic, Catalonia

Bonjour Ferran,

Buen enfoque y fondo. Sencillez y eficacia en la toma.
