This is a great POV to show all the characteristics of a Spotted Fritillary(Melitaea didyma) with fine sharpness and against a great neutral BG. Fine composition too.

Hi Joey,

You have chosen ann interesting POV showing in the same time the upper and down side of the wings. Good solution! I like also the contrast between buterfly, flower and background's colors.

Fritillary... I looked it up..and the pronunciation is quite different than I have imagined.. I was pronouncing it as almost akin to 'artillery'...but I was wrong...And since it is common only to butterfly's and one brand of flora, I wonder where the name came from???? There will be an answer..I always have to search deeper...Ivan...he is a walking encyclopedia of nature...and I share thanks to him for he has taught me quite a bit, including tolerance and patience...

A fine image Joey....Working vacations pay off eh?
