English:
The four-spotted moth is a grassland species which is typically found on south-facing banks on well-drained soils with sparse vegetation and bare earth. The larva feeds on field bindweed Convolvulus arvensis, preferring the flowers and seeds initially.
This moth was formerly widespread and fairly common in England south of a line from Norfolk to Somerset. There has been a massive decline since the 1930s, and recently it has been reported from only 11 counties in southern England, chiefly on limestone grassland or in the Breckland. The moth has been recorded from every country in Europe except Ireland and Norway. The range extends eastwards to western Siberia and includes Morocco.
In Great Britain this moth is classified as Vulnerable.

This is an excellent macro shot. Nice even lighting, great composition. Well Done!

Hello Nicolas!
This is a very nice macro with good details especially well seen on the flower.
I like the contrast between moth and the BG and general composition.
Anyway, how big is this species? I guess that it belongs to Microlepidoptera so probably it is not bigger that 4-6 mm.
Best withes,
Radomir
