Esta preciosa mariposa alcanza una envergadura alar de un centímetro y medio. Lucen un magnífico colorido metálico en las alas anteriores.
Vuelan de día y los machos pueden ser vistos danzando en grandes enjambres alrededor de las plantas nutricias, mientras que las hembras esperan en el suelo.
Los adultos vuelan durante los meses de abril a junio.
Los machos de esta polilla tienen antenas tres veces mas grande de la longitud de las alas, las hembras alrededor de la mitad de esta longitud. La hembra tiene las antenas oscuras.

Males of this moth have antennae three times the length of the forewings, the females around half this length.
Female specimen has the characteristic dark, thick-based antennae.

Interesting shot of this Longhorned moth. I have seen on the net one which looks quite similar, Paragre aegeria. But I'm not a specialist.
