Longitud del cuerpo 10-12 mm. Alas delanteras claramente acortadas, con una mancha grande y otra pequeña cada una.
Se le puede confundir con Lygaeus equestris o con Scantius aegyptius, pero una observación detallada refleja que estos dos tienen alas completamente desarrolladas.

Hola Nicolas,
a very interesting view of the bug - difficult against the dark background. However, the red colour elements of the bug solve this problem. You achieved high sharpness on the frontal parts of the bug and on the plant structures within the 'field of depth'.

Dias sin ver tu preciosa galería Nicolas ... La toma impresionante por el ángulo y el cuerpò que se medio ve detrás. Gran profundidad y buena luz. Detalles bellos como esas semillas, colores del insecto o posición geométrica bien captada de las patas. Tu estilo me gusta.

A very good macro of this beetle.The colours are deep with excellent saturation.
Nicely composed in the frame.
The focus is spot on with sharp details.
The POV and DOF are well done,the OOF BG is lovely.
