Indian Leaf
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
ANother shot from the butterfly gardens of Empuriabrava. This one is an Indian Leaf it is called that way for when it closes it's wings it looks like a rotten leaf. The other side of his wings is beautifully coloured with blue and orange. I have many shots of these but I wanted to show one which illustrates the difference betwwen the two sides of the wings. Focus is mostly on the eyes.
I cropped this one, did a little rotation and adapted levels. |

Ik vind hem zeer bijzonder Jan,
Prachtige compositie, met een scherp hoofd, een scherpe linker vleugel en een rechter vleugel die prachtige kleuren heeft en overgaat in een goed dof. Erg goed werk Jan
Very nice pose captured here. Great detail of the head. Wings loose a bit detail, but still a very nice photo. Thanx for sharing.

Lovely shot, nice colours and detail. I wish the Dof was a little deeper but still very nice.

An ephemeral feel to the picture, the ivy works well as a perch here, Jan Baie mooi gedoen!
The clever used dof makes this picture very interesting - not to forget the beautiful colours of this butterfly. Well done Jan.

Mooie foto Jan,you've captured side and partly upper view here, good composition!, IMO it could improve if the focus was on the whole butterfly ..
