[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Cercion lindenii (Goblet-marked Damselfly) had troubles staying airborne with his dodgy wing. But as often seen with this species it found lots of plants to rest on in a wonderfull arroyo it a bloody hot Extremadura. I was just in time to take this shot. Just a second later he decided to take off (I probably came too close) and landed on a piece of wood and thus floated downstream...

Hi Jacob,
Nice capture of this Damselfly with a broken wing. The details are very clear on all its body which is not that easy to do. Great exposure and DOF. Thanks,
Claudine

Excellent shot showing very clearly the beautiful colour and markings of this damselfly. Pity about the wing but even so ... and the background colour is successful.
TFS, Ulla

Perfect shot Jacob! Now we can see the black markings on the back of this Damselfly very well.

Hi Jacob,
Unusual and great pov on this damsel. Sharpness, colours, blurry plain bg all are wonderful!
Thank you!

Hi Jacob,
Striking capture. Exposure and framing are spot on. Love the OOF BG, very clean. Just a pity about the dodgy wing, was this guy able to fly very well with that sort of damage?
Cheers
Paul

Hi Jacob

What a beautiful damselfly you have here, too :)
I like the interesting POV...something rather new for a change.
Also the shallow DOF does magic, leaving everything else OOF adn making the damselfly look like floating. Nice details and colors, too.
A simple yet very beautiful composition.

Bravo and TFS
Horia

beautiful even if hte insect is a little worn.
