Hello Felipe and Chris,
Very interesting light effect in this capture! It looks almost as if it was shot in moonlight! Wonderful backlight highlighting the wings and a glimpse of llight on the eye to make the picture complete.

Old TN Friends, side by side :) Nice way to close out 06..Very nice backlit effect and dark BG achieved with the small aperture. Excellent detail in the head, antennae, and backlit parts of the wings. Well composed, Well done mf.

Cuando hablas de nuestros gustos que antes diferían ligeramente y ahora se parecen algo más, creo que esta imagen es la perfecta demostración de tu gusto y de mi complacencia querido amigo.
Una perfecta composición con un efecto lumínico maravilloso, la nitidez y el foco exacto, incluso dejando fuera del mismo a parte de la superficie enroscada.
Gran punto de vista, gran encuadre... gran presentación.
Mis felicitaciones para Cris por semejante captura y mi afecto para ambos con mis mejores deseos para el 2007.

I simply love this picture. It's very unusual for the backlighting and low key tones. Also the surroundings is unusual, usually we see the butterflies on flowers :-)

magical backlight revealing most beautiful colours and shapes out of the dark.
I wonder if it is a rope or a garden chair Maculada is sitting on, but whatever it is, it looks good and it is very well fitting in colour.
