Pictured by you beetle is wonderful. Especially I like its hair body and terrific antennas. Captured scene is so simply and so beautiful. Very impressive leaf and charming creature on it. DOF is great as well as the POV. Sharpness and details are extremely perfect. Composition and framing are the best. Bravo and my compliments.

Lo tuyo no son fotos, son joyas de la naturaleza y más con el realismo que las captas. He pasado como media hora por internet buscando pero tampoco aclaro si es A. dahli o A. villosoviridescens ... aunque eso de villoso quizás sea por los pelos pero ni idea. He visto páginas y fotos que creo que tienen los nombres equivocados. Bueno, al menos se que existen estas dos preciosas especies. Abrazo

complimenti per questa foto, tecnicamente perfetta e ottimamente composta.
La specie da te fotografata è l'Agapanthia dahli, effettivamente molto simile alla A. villosoviridescens.
Ecco come distinguerle:

1. Ground colour of antennal segment 3 black, basal four-fifths of this segment covered with whitish-grey pubescence, segments 4 to 12 also with bases witish-grey and apices black, apical regions of segments with only scattered erect hairs, without tufts of black hair.................... villosoviridescens (Degeer, 1775) (see heer)

- Basal three-fourths of antennal segment 3 light reddish with white pubescence, apex black, segments 4 to 12 also with bases reddish and apices black, apex of segments 3 and 4 usually each with a dense tuft of black hairs........................dahli (Richter, 1821)

A. villoso viridescens occurs as a rare species in my county Scania, but I have never seen it, so it is great to see this fine shot.
