Hi Felipe,

an extremely interesting of a dragonfly shot, unusual angle, unusual details---and the animal is not through with ecdysis (milky wing bases) and coloration yet. I admire how close you got with your ID under these circumstances.

you show fine and sharp details of that dragonfly.
Depth of field and clarity of the presentation are great.
The rigorous symmetry is debatable with respect to composition.
Light and colours are pleasant.

The color, DOF, detail, and flashwork R top-notch here..
I like the close comp, and the the dragon at leafs edge.
I heard Gert mention that a lens tends to lose a bit of its sharpness at these very small apertures. Don't see it here though :)
Do you think a slightly wider aperture would've done the trick here?

muy buen macro sobre esta libélula. La composición es muy buena, buena también la idea de contrastar los colores del bicho con la hoja. Muy buenos colores y luz. Los detalles no tienen desperdicio!
A mi gusto hubiese estado mejor un poco menos de acercamiento pero mas vista de la libelula. Pero eso es solo un gusto personal. La foto es realmente buena.

The "+++" : composition, nice young subject, POV, sharpness, great details, DOF, exposure, warm colors, useful complementary note...
The "-" : nothing as usual...

I like very impressive upper POV and cropping. And I am impressed with great DOF (aperture value selected perfectly) and skill use of flash. You managed to get excellent level of details and sharpness of all nice features of the insect and even leaf. My best wishes and compliments.

Lovely close-up of this immature Clubtail - it's interesting to see how the colours and especially the colours of the eyes change as they develop! Very fine details and beautiful colours here. Well done!
