Cistus is a genus of flowering plants in the rockrose family Cistaceae.

They are perennial shurbs found on dry or rocky soils throughout the Mediterranean region.

The leaves are evergreen,opposite,simple, usually slightly rough-surfaced,coated wiht a highly aromatic resin called labdanum.

They have showy 5 petaled flowers ranging from white to purple and dark pink.

¡Qué bien has captado la belleza de esta sencilla pero preciosa florecilla! ¡Qué pétalos tan lindos, con esa blancura captada con una perfecta exposición y luminosidad y ese extremo formando un botón amarillo en torno a los lindos pistilos!
