[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Migrant Hawker, Aeshna mixta. There was an enormous number of those largish (60 mm) dragonflies in the La Donana national park (Delta of the Guadalquivir river, Andalucia, Spain)when we visited in November. Most of them were "hawking" above the shrubs, but a few were basking in the sun. They are tolerant to brackish water and can migrate (as their english name implies) in large numbers.

Excelent Macro, of the Hawker. You did well with DOF. Excelent work. I don't know about the use of flash, it has washed out colors.

Very nice work Philippe, it's a great close up of this hawker, the ID looks good, was this one warming up? I ask as the colours don't quite look like they can and I know that the colours can vary significantly from temperature. Well done.
