This year we had very little rain: You can see a line on the opposite shore, there is where the water line should be at the end of the winter. It is now various meters below. These mountain lakes store the rain water for the needs of agriculture. They are also a favourite place to camp and bath for the local people during the summer holydays. This part of the island is almost empty of houses and people. It can only be reached after hours of curving roads.
I have 3 more of this place to come next.

It is interesting to see this image, as it is a confirmation that weather behaves quite strange lately!
It is easy to see the this lake miss millions of litres of water, with the consequences that will have for argiculture...
It is a beautiful composition, with attractive colours and good details!

Vaya embalse nunca dirķa que hay uno asi en Gran Canaria. Muy buena composicion.
Hoi Karin,
Ik dacht dat wij een droge periode hadden, maar als ik het lage peil van het water hier zie is het bij jullie wel heel erg droog. Een mooie foto, met perfect belichting en een sterke compositie.
