Hierba perenne con tubérculos sentados y al final de estolones.

Hojas alternas, envainantes, a menudo maculadas, linear lanceoladas.

en espiga bracteada.

Brácteas igual o mayores que las flores, rojizas o verdosas, maculadas de púrpura.

Flores hermafroditas, zigomorfas, trímeras.

Tépalos externos ovado-lanceolados, acuminados, conniventes con los 2 tépalos internos superiores formando una gálea.

labelo
Labelo con 2 callosidades purpúrea, hipoquilo parcialmente cubierto por la gálea, semiorbicular, lóbulos oblicuamente semiovados, epiquilo lanceolado, ligeramente estrechado en la zona basal, acuminado, la mitad de ancho que el hipoquilo. Ginostemo con columna larga, bursícula simple, terminado en apófisis larga y canaliculada.

Hola jorapavi. Es un bonito primer plano el que nos muestras, ahora observo lo siguiente: se agradecería algo más de foco en la zona más cercana. hay tambien como unas motillas en la imagen, como si el sensor no estuviera muy limpio. Saludos.

Hi Jose.
I like your really art work. Nice look on so beautiful plant. Excellent lights and colours, terrific details/texture reproduction. BG is simply amazing. Probably, I would prefer more larger DOF. Now I usually use ISO 400 to feel myself freely at selection f-number and/or exposure time. My best regards and TFS.

I like a lot a POV of this photo. This flower hads really original shape and colouration. And even if the DOF is not perfect you presented here an interesting species of Orchidaceae. I have never saw it before.
