Despite its slightly tatty wings, this butterfly seems to me to be quite uncommon, Jose. I would be equally curious abouts it ID.
This is a wonderful capture against the most pleasing BG.

Pues yo diría que se trata de una Lycaena tityrus un tanto viejecita la pobre. Parece que haya perdido un montón de sus polvitos mágicos de hada del bosque (ji,ji, es que solía llamar así a las escamas de las alas cuando era niña). Pero como no puedo asegurarlo al 100% lo dejaré en puntos suspensivos...
Las dos imágenes son geniales y las has sabido componer de una forma perfecta. Me encanta que se pueda ver las dos partes de la mariposa.

Outstanding shot of this butterfly. Nice saturated colours and sharp details. the back light is managed superbly. Excellent POV and DOF. I like its elegant pose, though it looks a little old with broken wings. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Genial el punto de vista!
Muy buena la imagen captada, donde nos muestras a la mariposa con la trompa desplegada.
Me gusta mucho el uso del flash de relleno, conseguiste una iluminación muy pareja y homogénea.

Seguramente sobrevivio al picotazo de algun pajaro, yo he visto a varias asi tambien, pero volaban perfectamente, es curioso que hasta la flor esta en las ultimas.

Great shot with great clarity and detail. Though helpful to see the damage wing - the small picture indeed distracts somewhat and breaks the overall composition of the large image. Good image nevertheless! Bravo! BR Klaus
