Interesting small bug you are showing us here.
Very good composition with excellent DOF and very nice soft BG color tones.
To me it seems like the image is a little over sharpened though, but that gould be my screen ofcourse.
I personally like the other image, to wich you are pointing in your note, more, but that personal choice ofcourse.

Good shot. Small insects like these are always hard to get sharp and clear photos of, especially an insect 4 to 5 mm long. Good shot and DOF.
