Fine capture of Bertelot's Pipit in the evening sun. The fine pose and POV are unusual in a superb composition with a fine neutral BG.
I was upset to hear about the forest fires on Tenerife and that valuable habitat was destroyed but hopefully it will regrow soon.

Hola Victor,

I hope this bird survived the recent fire in Barranco de Masca! You captured it very well! I most of all appreciate how you compensated for the backlight. Although in shade, the details in the bird's plumage look great. The excellent composition shows a clearly readable profile silhouette against a perfect, neutral background. The eye contact is very good and I like the way the light highlights the face, chest and belly of the bird creating an outline where the shaded bird meets the dark background. A great work of art my friend! TFS!

Buena composición de ese bello pájaro que tiene semejanzas al gorrión. Buena luz y colores naturales. Saludos. Ahh, al final solo ha caído el 70-300 de la SIGMA, está muy barato y yo le doy poco a las aves, esperemos que la vaca de más pronto jeje ya te contaré como chuta.

Hello Vicma,
I'm sad to hear that the beautiful Masca valley also was struck by the forest fires. Luckily nature tends to recover in time. This is another lovely capture of this little Pipit sharply in focus in beautiful light. Great sharpness and fine colours too.

I really like the composition in this picture. the BG also compliments the colours really well. The area will recover with time. The common I live on was badly burnt last year just before the heather flowered, this year it is off limits becuase of a highly infectious disease in cattle (Foot and mouth), and it is the best thing that could have happened for the land becuase it can heal. It will return and grow back, but often the sense of loss is great.
