Muy buena y nítida imagen de esta ave, su plumaje críptico la disimula bien en ese entorno, en el thumbnail casi ni se ve! Es notable lo similar del plumaje al tinamú o "perdíz" que hay en Argentina, de hábitos similares, pero emparentadas lejanamente con los ñandúes.

Ahhh so here is a close up of the bird that would scare the crap out of me while I was horseback riding! Trotting along a path , they would be in the underbrush and fly out rigth when we got next to them, had to be prepared for the horse to make a quick jump to the otherside!!
