It looks much like Mt St Helens, although the fumeroles are not as many here at what appears to be very close to a or the peak. I live only 125 miles from St Helens, though I was not here during 1981, but in California. A good lesson in geology lives within this picture.

Hola Victor, desconocía ese término ya que aquí no se usa ( y no hay volcanes jeje ). Lo plasmas bien ahí con colores naturales y limpios entre sol y sombras. El abeto o el árbol que sea ese está bien frondoso ... quizá sería cuestión de plantar alguno pero lo que parece que hacemos es quemarlos :-(

Hi Vicma

This is indeed a very dramatic landscape. The colors here and the contrast between them are imrpessive and you did good to catch that in your photo.
The name given to the land is easy to understand...it also makes a great title here.
The composition is well managed and it's mostly wnhanced by the lonely tree surrounded only by volcanic rock and steam.

Si el paisaje en sí es asombroso, más asombroso aún resulta con ese abeto tan verde, tan frondoso y tan solitario. Como un colono conquistando tierra nueva. De tener sentimientos ¿cómo podrá sentirse un árbol tan solitario en un terreno tan baldío? Yo creo que pensaría "!Lo he logrado! !Reclamo esta tierra para mis descendientes!" Una imagen preciosa con una sensacional combinación de luces y sombras que ensalzan la desolación de este malpaís con esperanza de convertirse en una zona verde y llena de vida.
Realmente preciosa.
