bonjour vicma

Hi Vicma.
I like your both pictured. One supplements another perfectly. Excellent timing and pictured scene/moment. Pose of the butterfly and your POV are amazing. Repoduction of the wings and body of the butterfly as well as the nearest leaves are superb. BG is wonderful too. Once again excellent soft lighting. Bravo and TFS. Our techniques are different. In such case I, probably, would use ISO 400 and aperture value f/11-14. My compliments and best wishes.
Alexei.

Hola Victor,
a common butterfly but a particular picture of this species showing brassicae from an intersting point of view and with a specific pose. In spite of the difficult angle, wings are entirely sharp.
Best wishes, Peter

Hola Victor.

Me encanta.

Hi Victor,
a document of female desire, shown very clearly in pleasantly soft dim light. Wonderful subtle colours - your trademark.
Pieris brassicae once was very abundant in Central Europe. I remember these elegant, large white butterflies very well from my childhood, and my grandmother plucking their caterpillars from her kichen garden's cabbage. With "modern" agriculture plus pesticides arriving, the species has become quite rare in my place.
Here you are perfectly showing sex appeal the cabbage white's way. Hope your butterfly lady had all the success she needed to help her species survive obsolete monocultural agriculture's attacks by conceiving and creating next year's new generation in jolly good numbers. Thank you!
My best regards,
Peter

Isn't this butterfly upside down, Vicma? A rare posture indeed.
I think I shot the same species in Rajasthan, India, this year.
The image, as usual from you, is very well composed.

Hi Juyona,
A beautiful capture of this lovely butterfly. Insects of any kind when in large numbers are 90% times a headache for we human beings. Anyway I like this one. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Interesting details have been captured in this little fellow!
I like the point of view, texture and pattern in the wings are very well reproduced...
Fine light, and the macro work is well done isolating the insect nicely from the background!

Hola Victor,
An excellent capture of a female P. brassicae sharply and well caught in an interesting pose. Females of the Pieridae family lift up the tip of their abdomens to show males that she has already been fertilised: she smells of male pheromones so that other males avoid pairing with her.
great POV, DOF and composition to show this.
Well done!
